ABOUT the SNOW ACADEMY
The Snow Academy houses the various Snow Australia e-learning initiatives.
There are five ‘academies’ on the platform; the Coach Academy, Coach Apprenticeship, Coach Accreditation, Officials Accreditation, and the Sport Hub.
An engaging educational resource for coaches, officials, athletes, and the community that houses coach professional development webinars, a collection of premium video and audio learning resources, and targeted modules that users can reference regularly.
The Coach Accreditation Academy houses the Level 1 Snow Australia coach accreditation pathway for new and developing coaches. To become accredited Level 1 Snow Australia coaches, coaches must complete a series of e-Learning courses housed on the platform, along with practical on-snow workshops.
The Little Shredders Coaching Course is housed in the Sport Hub for teachers and community coaches.
The Officials Accreditation Academy provides training courses for snow sport officials. Currently, the Interschools Officials course is available to complete in the academy with a Level 1 Alpine officials’ course to be added in 2022.
